Only about one hour from Bangkok is Thailand’s old capital, Ayutthaya, a city rife with ancient temple ruins, just far enough away from the Westernized world of Thailand’s largest metropolitan city to get a glimpse of the Thai culture from before. With our Volunteer in Central Thailand program, you can teach English to eager young monks inside their temple. Located in Bang Pa In province, home to the summer getaway for Thailand’s King and Queen at Bang Pa In Palace, is a modest temple school where child monks come to learn. And they’re looking for native-English speakers to help them.
